Netflix India took to Instagram to share a painting of a desi version of Wednesday Addams and called her Rajkumari Budhwaar. However, fans were divided over the portrait.
The Netflix series Wednesday is a superhit among the masses and there is no denying that fact. The supernatural-comedy show reached a whopping one billion watch hours, making it among the most-streamed shows on Netflix. So, when Netflix India shared a picture of a desi version of Wednesday Addams, the main character played by Jenna Ortega, it obviously went viral online with a plethora of reactions.
Netlfix India took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a painting of Wednesday Addams. The only difference was Wednesday's desi attire with a bindi and a rose in her hair instead of her gothic appearance in the series. The art-work was created by Arjun Kutty, a 25-year-old illustrator.
"Meet Rajkumari Budhwaar. This #Wednesday art-work by @kuttyypie has made our entire day," reads the caption of the post.
The post grabbed a lot of eyeballs and triggered a ton of reactions from Instagram users. While a section of people absolutely loved the creativity and compared it to Gangubai Kathiawadi, Indumati from Chhota Bheem and Qala, others were not so impressed.Read More on..
